CONSOL SURFACE RETARDER S is a water based retarder for concrete surfaces. It is ready to use on freshly laid concrete to expose the aggregate in horizontal concrete surfaces.

CONSOL SURFACE RETARDER S is ideal for the production of exposed aggregate on horizontal surfaces of freshly laid concrete areas. This produces an attractive exposed aggregate finish, or a key for subsequent pours or renders, such as driveways, floors, paving, paths, construction joints, etc. The action of CONSOL SURFACE RETARDER S is the retardation of the setting process of the cement on the top surface of the concrete to a depth of between 2 to 5 mm.
