Set Accelerating Admixture
DESCRIPTION
CONSOL FAST 20 is an admixture that accelerates the early setting times of concrete and mortar. CONSOL FAST 20 promotes early strength development without negatively influencing final strengths.
RECOMENDED FOR
CONSOL FAST 20 is used for applications such as:
- Precast concrete
- Slip forming
CONSOL FAST 20 may be used at concrete temperatures
of 5°C – 30°C, when extremely high requirements for early
green strengths at between 6 – 24 hours have to be met.
The greatest effect is seen at 6 – 8 hours.
BENEFITS
- Provides up to ±100% increase in early concrete strength within the first 8 hours, depending on ambient temperature, cement type OPC/RHC, and dosage
- Compatible with standard CONSOL plasticizers
- Delivers the best performance when added prior to the plasticizer during mixing
- Allows earlier stripping of vertical formwork, approximately 2–3 hours after placement, depending on site conditions.
