DESCRIPTION
CONSOL SUPER FAST 1 is an admixture that accelerates the early setting times of concrete and mortar.
CONSOL SUPER FAST 1 promotes early strength development without negatively influencing final strengths.
RECOMMENDED FOR
CONSOL SUPER FAST 1 is used for critical time concrete applications (where time delays are not allowed), such as road traffic / pedestrian, plant shut downs, etc.
CONSOL SUPER FAST 1 may be used at concrete temperatures of 5°C – 30°C, when extremely high requirements for early green strengths at between 6 – 24 hours have to be met. The greatest effect is seen at 6 – 8 hours.
BENEFITS
CONSOL SUPER FAST 1 is normally used in combination with a superplasticizer. The addition of CONSOL SUPER FAST 1 may require a slight increase in the dosage of superplasticizer if the same slump values are to be maintained.
Depending on the ambient temperature and dosage CONSOL SUPER FAST 1 can increase in early strengths during the first 8 hours of up to 100% in comparison with normal CONSOL admixtures modified concrete can be achieved. Depending on the brand of OPC/RHC used and the temperature of the fresh concrete, the effect may vary slightly. Stripping of vertical formwork may be possible after 2-3 hours.
CONSOL SUPER FAST 1 can be used in combination with normal types of CONSOL plasticizers.
The best results are achieved when CONSOL SUPER FAST 1 is added prior to the plasticizer.
CONSOL SUPER FAST 1 contains chlorides.
